RORY LEONARD

Rory is the British 10k Record Holder, with a PB of 27:38. He previously competed in the NCAA with Oklahoma State University, winning national team medals in the process.

SCOTT BEATTIE

With a 13:04 PB, Scott is Makou’s leading 5k racer. He finished 8th at the World Road Running Championships after becoming the UK Champion. His 10k time of 27:58 ranked #1 in the UK last year on the roads.

ELLIS CROSS

Ellis is Makou’s most experienced athlete, boasting a 27:43 10k PB. He is a British Silver Medallist and is one of the most recognised characters on the UK domestic circuit.

SARAH ASTIN

Sarah is a 5000m Commonwealth Games finalist and former National Cross Country Champion. As the first female to join Makou, she is inspiring the next generation to make bold moves.

EFREM GIDEY

Irish Half Marathon & 10k Record Holder (60:51, 27:26) and U23 European Medalist, Efrem is the definition of natural talent. He is ranked #1 in Europe for 10,000m in 2025.

CALLUM ELSON

With a 3:53 mile & 3:35 1500m to his name, Callum is Makou’s middle distance expert. He won a silver medal at the World Road Running Championships in 2023, as well as captaining GB at the European XC Champs.

INDIA WEIR

After a successful NCAA career at Princeton and Washington, India became British Silver Medallist over 5000m achieving a lifetime best of 15:01, and 4:08 over 1500m.
